I had a pleasant stay at this hotel, which offered spacious rooms and a solid dining experience. While the morning buffet had its quirks with leftovers from dinner, we enjoyed the variety available. However, the service left much to be desired, especially regarding language barriers. Overall, it represents decent value, but be prepared for some challenges with communication.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were really big and comfortable, providing a decent amount of space.
Service
5.0
The staff struggled with English, which made simple tasks like ordering a taxi quite difficult.
Location
6.0
The location is somewhat off the beaten path, but it’s still convenient to get to the subway and nearby shops.
Dining
6.0
Dining was good with plenty of options, though breakfast included some food that didn't quite fit a typical morning meal.

The hotel is clean and features modern amenities, which was great, but the Wi-Fi was slow and challenging at times.

5.8/10

My stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. On the positive side, the rooms were notably spacious and quite comfortable, and I found the staff to be very accommodating despite the language barrier. However, the dining options felt a bit too limited and heavily skewed towards local cuisine, and I encountered issues with the air conditioning that were not resolved satisfactorily. Overall, while there are some great aspects, it may not meet expectations for a 4-star hotel.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were quite large and spacious, likely larger than what I’ve encountered in previous stays. However, I did notice a strong cigarette smell in my nonsmoking room, which was quite off-putting.
Service
6.0
The staff seemed really friendly and eager to help, but their limited English made communication challenging at times.
Location
5.0
The hotel felt a bit isolated, which made it difficult to find dining options within walking distance. Taxis also struggled to locate the hotel.
Dining
5.0
While the main restaurant offered a good variety of food, the breakfast options were mostly left over from the dinner buffet and lacked international flavors.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had decent facilities, but the noise from the busy road outside impacted my comfort during the stay.

7.2/10

I had a bit of a mixed experience at this hotel. While the room was spacious and clean, the air conditioning situation was quite uncomfortable during my stay. The dining options were surprisingly good, but service quality seemed to vary. The staff was helpful when I needed them, but the location was decent, especially with historical places nearby, although there weren't any 24-hour shops.

Rooms
7.0
The room was spacious and clean, but I wouldn’t say it lived up to a luxury standard.
Service
6.0
Service was a mixed bag; some staff were helpful while others seemed indifferent.
Location
7.0
The hotel was conveniently located near historical sites and a subway station, though it felt a bit isolated.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed the dining options, especially the all-you-can-eat buffet which offered a variety of choices.
Facilities

The gym and swimming pool were quite nice, offering decent amenities for guests.

6.8/10

This hotel offers comfortable and spacious rooms, making it a decent choice in Beijing, especially for events. However, the dining options could use improvement, and the location, while safe, isn't the most central. The staff's English proficiency is a bit of a barrier, making communication challenging.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds, well-appointed amenities, and a nice view from the higher floors.
Service
6.0
The service was helpful but could be slow and often struggled with English, leading to some frustrating moments, especially in simpler tasks.
Location
7.0
While the hotel is not in the center of town, it’s very close to the Caishikou subway station, making transportation easy.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast buffet was decent but not remarkable, and the café isn’t great for lunch or dinner. The separate dining options had a good variety but communicated poorly in English.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel has modern facilities and is clean and tidy throughout, making it suitable for conferences and events.

6.2/10

I recently stayed at the New Grand Century in Beijing, and overall, it was a decent experience. The rooms were spacious and clean, but I expected more given its '5-star' description. The dining options were enjoyable with a good buffet, but the service had its drawbacks, especially regarding the lighting issues in our room. While the location was convenient for the subway and nearby shops, the surrounding noise was a bit high for my taste.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were quite spacious and comfortable, although they didn’t meet the expectations of '5-star'.
Service
5.0
Service varied; while some staff were helpful, resolving the lighting issue took too long and was frustrating.
Location
6.0
The hotel is located close to the subway and shops, but it was a bit noisy due to traffic on the main road.
Dining
8.0
Dining at the Jade Café was a highlight with a great buffet offering a variety of dishes, though breakfast had some unusual options.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were decent but the internet connection was slow and not very reliable.
